The following provides instruction on how to play DVDs and Blu-Ray discs with Blu-Ray players in registrar classrooms.


Blu-Ray Players

Rooms may include a Blu-Ray player in the technology system. The Blu-Ray player bay be located under the desk of the teaching station or in the technology rack. These players are able to play both DVDs and Blu-Rays. It is recommended, that if present, the Blu-Ray is used to play DVDs. The following instructions explain how to use this device:

  1. Turn on the technology system at the Extron touch panel.

  2. Select Blu-Ray as the projected source on the Touch Panel.

    1. A command should be sent to turn on the Blu-Ray player (See: Figure 2 Touch Panel Blu-Ray Control). If it does not turn on, check to see if the power is on at the Blu-Ray player.

  3. Press the eject button on the Player (See: Figure 3 Blu-Ray Disc Insert)

  4. Insert the disc or tape and press the eject button again to close the device

  5. Use the controls on the touch panel to play, rewind, fast forward, stop, and select from the menu items.

  6. When complete, eject your disk at the Blu-Ray player.

  7. Before leaving, turn the system off.

Note:

  • A remote controller can also typically be found in the accessory drawer located on the teaching station or on the technology rack in the room.
