MINOR IN ANTHROPOLOGY REQUIREMENTS   Current Course Catalog

The minor in anthropology is designed to encourage students to pursue breadth in areas which complement their major. With the assistance of their faculty advisors, students can design a minor reflecting their interest in any of the subfields of Anthropology: socio/cultural, biological/physical, archaeological, applied, and policy-related studies.

To complete the minor in anthropology, students take 18 credits in anthropology. No more than 6 credits at the 100-200 level can count towards the minor.

Examples of possible courses focal areas leading to a minor in anthropology could include (but are in no way limited to) the following:

IN MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY REQUIREMENTS    Current Course Catalog

The minor in medical anthropology is designed to introduce undergraduates to the field of medical anthropology in order to prepare them for applied work or future research in the are area of global health.   This minor may be appropriate for students pursuing degrees in the health sciencesciences, international relations, STS, or other social sciences such as anthropology, sociology or politcal political science.

To complete a minor in medical anthropology, students must take a minimum of 18 credits, with 12 credits at the 300-500 level.
