Proposals will be read by a faculty committee. The committee will rank the proposals according to their promise, consistency with the goals indicated in these guidelines, and cost effectiveness. Award notices will be sent by email on or about December 8, 2023.
We will be offering a Proposal Writing Workshop in on September , 2023 (details forthcoming)21, 2023 in Eggers 341. The workshop will be hosted by Sue Wadley, Professor of Anthropology, Emerita.
Our Expectations:
Please note that (i) Award recipients are required to send a brief biography and project abstract (one to two paragraphs in all) and a photo to Eleanor Langford (evlangfo@syr.edu) by April 15, 2024 for use on the website. (ii) We expect that you will give a presentation on your research project upon invitation. (iii) We ask that you write a 1-2 page follow-up report on your grant related research activities. (iv) Additional requirements will be explained in the award notice.
