Goekjian and Perryman Awards
The Moynihan Institute will grant awards to graduate students to support research for MA thesis or doctoral research projects concerning the below regions. The purpose of the award is to provide students the opportunity to gather preliminary data, make contacts, map topics, and increase competitiveness of future proposals for funding. Any student enrolled in an MA or PhD program at Syracuse University may apply.

You may apply for more than one grant from the Moynihan Institute, but no more than one award will be given by the Moynihan Institute per year per student. Awards are ranked separately, so if your proposal is accepted by more than one committee, you will be awarded the better opportunity. If you win an award this year, you may apply for this or another award next year.
Europe
For the purposes of the grant competition, “Europe” includes any country in the standard geographic area west of the Urals and north and west of the Caspian and Black seas, including Russia, the states of the South Caucasus, and Turkey.
