You may apply for more than one grant from the Moynihan Institute, but no more than one award will be given by the Moynihan Institute per year per student. Awards are ranked separately, so if your proposal is accepted by more than one committee, you will be awarded the better opportunity. Previous recipients of this or other grants awarded through the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs are eligible but not a top priority.
Central Asia & the Caucasus
The Moynihan Institute’s Central Asia and the Caucasus Initiative announces its annual grant competition for graduate students interested in learning about and studying Central Asia and the Caucasus. The grant can be used for such activities as field work, archival research, creating or purchasing data sets, internship expenses, language training, online courses, and travel that leads to a deeper understanding of Central Asia and the Caucasus. This opportunity is open to members of the Central Asia and the Caucasus Initiative.

Any student enrolled in an MA or PhD program at Syracuse University may apply.
