Proposal Format - Europe, Latin America and the Carribean, Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa

The Moynihan Institute’s Center for European Studies (CES) announces its annual grant competition for graduate students interested in learning about and studying Europe. The grant can be used for such activities as field work, archival research, creating or purchasing data sets, internship expenses, language training, online courses, and travel that leads to a deeper understanding of Europe. Any student enrolled in an MA or PhD program at Syracuse University may apply.
For the purposes of the grant competition, “Europe” includes any country in the standard geographic area west of the Urals and north and west of the Caspian and Black seas, including Russia, the states of the South Caucasus, and Turkey.
Award: from $500 - $1,500

The Moynihan Institute’s Maxwell African Scholars Union (MASU) announces its annual grant competition for graduate students interested in learning about and studying sub-Saharan Africa. The grant can be used for such activities as field work, archival research, creating or purchasing data sets, internship expenses, language training, online courses, and travel that leads to a deeper understanding of sub-Saharan Africa. Grants will be awarded for up to $2,500. Any student enrolled in an MA or PhD program at Syracuse University may apply.
