Accessible Documents: Building Accessibility Into Existing Evaluating and Repairing PDFs | This workshop will focus on incorporating accessibility features into existing PDF documents. It is always better to build as much accessibility into the source document (.docx, .pptx or .indd) as possible before converting to PDF. In situations where you don’t have the source document, you can build accessibility into an existing PDF using Adobe Acrobat DC. Techniques include:

Screen Reader Essential Training for Web Accessibility Testers | This presentation will cover basics of using JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver screen readers during web accessibility testing. The WCAG 2.x A and AA Manual Evaluation form used by Syracuse University staff for testing web sites and web applications includes a number of checkpoints that are best tested using a screen reader. This presentation will cover the relevant checkpoints as well as a recommended testing technique with the corresponding JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver keystrokes.
