Add Course Schedule: Add the times this course or organization meets

  • Roster: View your class list, search the roster and add course accommodations for students.
  • Course Groups: You can create group sets to use for graded assignments, tests, and discussions. You can also create groups for activities other than graded work and ask students to self-enroll.
  • Progress Tracking: enable this functionality to give your students an easy way to keep track of what they have done inside the course
  • Course Image: Add a visual element to your course. The course image always displays as the course card thumbnail on the courses page. Additionally, you can toggle the course image to display the image within your course.
  • Course availability:
    • Open: Make the course available for students to access and participate.
    • Private: Make a course unavailable while you add or experiment with content, and then open it to students when you're ready. Students see private courses in their course lists, but they can't access them.
  • Blackboard Collaborate: Use a Blackboard Collaborate session for meetings and/or virtual office hours. The icon appears in purple to show you and other course members when people are active in the Collaborate room.
  • Attendance: Mark attendance grades and access detailed records.
  • Announcements: Create or schedule course announcements for all course members to view.
  • Books & Tools: View available tools
  • Question Banks: Create banks of questions that you can reuse in multiple assessments
  • Conversion Exceptions: If you plan to convert your original course to an Ultra Course View (UCV), you can use the conversion exceptions option to view how many items won’t carry forward in the UCV. These items are exceptions and/or the feature is not ready in the UCV and will need to be created from scratch in the UCV course.
