Learning Modules are an excellent way to deliver course content in an organized fashion. Items in a Learning Module are managed like all other content and can be placed in Content Areas. You can include course links to Assignments, Tests, Readings and Discussion Boards from within the Learning Module and organize your content in the order you want your students to move through the lesson.
