  • If you are finished with your coursework but, still working on your thesis/dissertation, registration for GRD 998- Degree in progress , every semester until they graduate to remain an active student at Syracuse University. (TA/RA/Fellow)
  • Students who are finished with their coursework but still working on their thesis/dissertation must register for GRD 998- Degree in Progress, every semester until they graduate In Year 3, when you have completed coursework and are taking your exams, you will register for CCR 887 (Doctoral Readings) and six hours of CCR 999 (Dissertation.)
  • In Years 4+ that you hold a TAship, RAship, or Fellowship, you will register for GRD 998 (Degree in Pprogress)  every semester until you graduate in order to remain an active student at Syracuse University. In addition to enrolling in GRD 998, since  
  • In Years 6+ if you do not currently hold a TATAship, RARAship, or Fellowship appointment, you will need to register for GRD 998 and also submit a fullFull-time status Time Status form in order to be considered a full time, student. This form can be found on the Graduate Student Information Hub, Frequently Accessed Form and Guidelines,  and on Answersthe Forms page.

Deadlines

  • Please note the deadline to submit this certification registration and, if necessary, your Full-Time Status Form is 5:00pm on the day of the add deadline for each Fall and Spring semester. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for exact dates. All full-time students are subject to the health insurance requirement.   Failure  Per Grad School policy, failure to register on time will result in students possibly being discontinued, accountable to pay for tuition or loans, and submitting petition forms to add late class to the registar's office. The registar's office may have reason to deny your request. We The CCR office will send numerous of email reminders to make sure students are aware of deadlines.
