Microsoft Outlook App Configuration

  1. Launch the app and enter your account name in the format "NetID@syr.edu"

  2. Click on 'Add Account' . On the next screen, enter your NetID password and a description for the account. The other fields can be left as is.

  3. Click 'Sign In'. On the next couple customization pages you can click 'Skip' or 'Maybe later' to bypass them. You should then see your usual Inbox.


Troubleshooting

If you experience problems sending or receiving e-mail from your mobile device, the simplest resolution is usually to remove and then re-configure your account. To remove your account, follow the steps below. To add it back, follow the steps above in the "Microsoft Outlook App Configuration" section.

  1. Open your account settings. On the main 'Inbox' screen, click the circle with your first initial.

  2. On the next screen, click the gear icon in the lower left.

  3.  Click on your SU account.

  4. Click on 'Delete Account'.
