Overview
An EDA (Enhanced Desktop Access) account is a local (non-domain) administrative account intended for users who require access to perform administrative tasks.

Installing Software Using EDA
- There are two methods for running an executable on your workstation (choose one):
- Right-click the executable, and click Run As Administrator.
- Right-click the executable, and click Run As Administrator.
- A UAC Login prompt will appear. For the username, enter: .\l-<netid> (ex. .\lL-smcheathtsphung). For the password, enter the one that was provided to you.
The ".\" in front of the username tells the workstation to use the local domain rather than Active Directory. - Click Yes.
